I will be honest and say I did not sleep well last night. I tossed and turned and fought a headache. At 3:00 am decided a soak in the tub was the best "drug of choice" considering I am not to have any liquids now. It seemed to help. We leave for the hospital in about twenty minutes.
I am reminded of Romans 8: 38 " For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels,nor principalities, nor things present, nor thing to come nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
My version of this right now is " For I am convinced that neither cancer, nor surgery can separate me from my big brother Jesus."
I close this with verse 37 "But in all these things we overwhelming conquer through Him who loved us. Love you all Glenna

- I have always been a person to see each phase of my life as a new adventure.I have had a quirky habit of giving a name to each segment. I have reserved the name "Dawn" for the grown up me! I have been waiting decades until I had reached enough maturity to qualify as "Dawn". In January I was out flying. While thousands of feet off the ground, floating between clouds I decided to declare "Dawns Arising" as I flew over Mt. Hood.I wondered what lessons I would need to learn to fully grow into my new Identity. As soon as I had landed the lesson of my life began. I was told I needed to come in for a Biopsy on my left Breast, and March 12th 2009 I had breast cancer surgery. This was not the end but the first step in a long trip! I had a 3.8 cm lump removed and was told the cancer has spread to my lymph nodes. A mountain bigger than Mt Hood is before me! Cancer is a lonely walk and I decided I might as well invite my family and friends to travel with me and anyone else so inclined. I am hoping other Cancer Survivors further along in the journey will stop in and say Hi, and encourage one another. "Dawn"
